Hi, are 57 plate E70 X5 has started to occasionally display a PDC failure symbol on the dash on start up and at the same time it display's something like PDC failure consult your dealer on Idrive.
Is this a common issue??
Ps. I had a quick look at old posts and could find PDC failures of the front and rear but not the complete system.

PDC failure
Re: PDC failure
It will probably be a sensor on its way out. While it is showing there's a fault on your idrive screen stick your ear next to each sensor in turn. The one that is not making a clicking noise is the faulty sensor

[/quote]Thanks for your reply, I ended up using my BMW scan tool and a faulty sensor had disabled the system.
Can't remember if it was a front or rear but after I cleared the fault so far it hasn't come back.
Do you know where the front/rear sensors plug into the module? ie if I have to run a new sensor and cable in the future.

Re: PDC failure
Fault came back and the code is Transducer Lines rear centre left.
I could swap over two sensors to see if the fault goes to the other side ie showing a sensor fault and not the cable?

Re: PDC failure
Just an update, I think both left rear sensors have gone down.
I swapped the outer two and the rear right fault went the rear left so its the sensor and not the cable on that one.
The only issue I can see is removing the rear centre left sensor, as I have a tow bar fitted you can't get your hand up to the centre two sensors.
Has anyone removed an E70 rear bumper?
