bmw 1 4 0 scanner not working

tried to get this going as few times and still nothing  it keeps saying drivers not installed, trying to install on windows vista  I,m sure someone knows an easy way to get it working hopefully thank you

Common problem with this, I had the same and fixed it using http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=942966 although I m using windows 7. Good luck  :'(

The first thing you need to do is ensure the interface is plugged into the car before you load the drivers..
The PC wont see the interface, in order to load its drivers, unless it has power..

The electronics in a lot of the scanner units are powered from the car and not the PC.
