Can't get the tv to work even with ignition off just white speckles
At the rear of the car there is a AV in and out port along with TV button
I plugged a media device into the AV port using a 3.5mm jack 4pole AV lead and then set TV to AV says no signal or bad connection
Did some more digging about and found a Digital TV tuner in boot behind panel on right side
Conducted a reset it also had AV in so attached media player to that and still no joy
The Video wires seem to go towards the boot so unsure what's there.
Just to confirm the av wire wasn't faulty i tested it at home on tv all ok
Could someone advise if I am doing something wrong or using wrong AV cable in the AV port
I want to run a media device to the screen so that I can select more music etc
Also is there anyone local to cov that has a BMW scanner and can set TV in motion along with auto lock doors for me

Re: X5 tv issue
It's a four ring jack if I remember correctly. Video/L/R/Ground. Can't remember which order though but you're using the right type.

Tip plus three rings yes? If so that's the right one I think.

Re: X5 tv issue
Yeah that's the one
Is there anything else I can check as
Nothing showing on the tv and no AV in working
When I select tv message comes
Up HD DVB would that possibly mean that there is a aftermarket player somewhere or has been historically?
Is the tv tuner normally in location I state? It has f connectors on it and video input and output

Never actually see the tuner, but it's in the right location. Does any TV channel work? There are HD DVB broadcasts now up but the BMW receiver cannot process them.

Re: X5 tv issue
nothing works not even TV channels but think they maybe disconnected no idea
i am going to have another go at it next week and if i fail call in the professional
although I did read somewhere that the media device you connect to the AV add on has to be grounded to car chassis anyone aware of this>>
