I have never changed a Dpf fitter when the light comes up at around 125,000miles
In fact I have many customers that I have regenerated there Dpf on our dyno which have well over 250,000 miles on the original Dpf filter fitted from new

Note taken from the MOT Testers website states that it is not just the DPF removal that will cause an MOT failure, but will also apply to cars fitted with DCATs - the Diesel Catalytic Converter.  It will be a visual and smoke test, and if either a DPF or DCAT were fitted OEM and then removed you may well find yourself with an MOT failure on your next visit.

The exact checking process is due to be released by the end of this month.

Checking is purely visual only.  If you dpf delete, you will be fine as long as you drop exhaust, do all intrusive works via top entry and then put back in situ where it looks untouched.  Regarding the limits for the smoke test on the mot.  Your car will be WELL within boundaries as diesels are so much better these days.  Without doubt i wouldn't worry

You might pass the MOT visual check, but you will be driving an illegal vehicle and that will not change.  Your insurers would walk away if heaven forbid anything went wrong and the car was involved in a serious RTC.  I have little doubt the VSA will soon cotton on and find a way.  I wouldn't carry any member of my family in such a vehicle - or buy one it had been done to.

It's called 'responsibility'.
