North East Re mappers????????? suggestions

Post by Buzznuts » Sun Feb 16, 2014 7:31 pm

Hi all, just wanting to know if anybody is aware of any mappers in the norh east worthy of entrusting my x5 to for re mapping. I would preferably like to use Jason at BWCHIPTUNE as his name seems to crop up on all the forums with glowing reports  but the distance just doesnt make it a feasible unfortunately so some recommended mappers closer to home would be much appreciated cheers, Dave

If you PM Jason and ask him what re mappers he has that work with him around the country. They will use Jason's maps, and maybe you will get the forum discount. Or alternatively Jason can send you a flash reader/ writer so you can download your map and email it to him so he can send you a modified map to re flash on to the car, then return the flash reader to him for your deposit back.
I have a Golf these days and looked into a remap, but have been told you can't do the Mk6  TDI via the OBD port anymore, they have to remove the ECU and do anything, and it's about £375+ vat! don't think I will bother !

Hi, I had the same problem as I live near Middlesbrough but I got in touch with Jason & he recommended a company in Gateshead ( I can't remember the name ) but basically I booked it in with them, they took the original map, sent it to Jason who then modified it to my requirements & sent it back for them to download onto my X5. It only took about 1.5 hours. Very pleased with the results.

There's a local guy also called Jason who has done all my cars and all my friends. He's a top bloke. His company is called TD Performance.
His number is 07932703619. Tell him Graham Turnbull told you.
