Guys

can anyone advise whether my X5 has the foam PVC breather valve or updated one?

its a 15.6.2004 produced  with a M57/TU engine

Hello mate,

Mines a 2005 model and it had the foam type before I changed it to the vortex type ..so I would imagine yours is the foam type too.

ditto, mine was produced dec 2004 and it had the foam filter fitted

That picture looks different to the one I fitted to both our E46 and E53.  The cover looks OK but not the bit on the right of the picture.

Personally I haven't found the correct part anywhere but BMW Dealers.

I've just checked the old one off our E46 that I changed a few months back, and that it the right part.  It's just upside down in the pic......

I knew I kept it for some good reason. :-[

Where from rang all BMW garages around midlands and they approx £61 including VAT

if you could advise where they are for £40 I will purchase as ideally want to service all car before getting it on the road

Yep now u can see why I am swaying towards this cheaper one

Even with my friends trade discount it's £59
