I have been given my x5 a dam good hoover out today ! Took me about 30 mins and then start x5 up and the clock has reset and it tells me my battery was discharging at a high rate !!! Do you think my battery is on its last legs ?

No, it's BMWs' way of telling you not to have to doors open etc for more than 30 mins.... :naughty:  :)

These cars use a lot of power doing absolutely nothing!  Mine draws nearly 60A!!

If you aren't doing long journeys to keep the charge state up then this message appears quite regularly.  We get it in both the X6 and Mini as they aren't being used much at present.  Most of the time I ignore it or put the car on charge if the message keeps coming back.
