Coolant top up

Post by Raward » Wed Jan 29, 2014 7:46 am

Good morning
The coolant warning has come up on my dash.
Can any of you recommend a coolant for my 53 plate E53 (3L SD)?
Something I can order online would be preferable.
Thanks

Its best to top uo with the same colour anti freeze already in the car.  Usually pink or blue. Best bet is to pop to your local Euro Car Parts if there is one local or Halfords and grab a bottle from there. Failing that either ebay or I think euro car parts will deliver.

If you can, try to use BMW coolant as it will have the right corrosion inhibitors.  Depends upon how close your local Dealer is.  But as above, don't mix different colour types.
