Just don't go down the dealer route yet.

We may be able to help. No way a key replacement if all 3 have gone duff. Get a charger on the battery to rule it out for starters. Then try the sync again.

I'd also just disconnect the battery for an hour to be sure all things are reset before sync, etc.

One thing about X5s is they throw all kinds of odd errors which can either be fixed by fully charging the battery, and/or doing a 'reset' which is no more than disconnecting the battery (it's buried in the boot floor) for twenty minutes.  It's more or less the same as "take 2 aspirin" to an X5..... :)

+1 on the keys lasting 10 years..................I smell male cow excrement.

My M5 is 13 years old and both keys work perfectly.
My E32 7 series was 1988 vintage and that was sold 2 years ago and both its keys worked perfectly too.

Think its something else.......

You can always ask Phil @ CPC Performance engineering...............he knows everything.
