Hi to all of you, I bought myself an x5 3.0d 03 plate in silver with full service history and im over the moon with it, its a pleasure to drive and as smooth as silk, I had 4 keys with the x5, 3 normal keys and 1 stubby key with an on and off press button, has anyone got any idea what this stubby key thing is I've looked in the manual but cant find anything relating to it, regards to all Jeff

Webasto auxiliary heating system perhaps?  It's a cost option at build.  Look up webasto remote controls on tinternet and see if the pics look like what you have...
