Hi guys,
I have a golf 2003 1.9 TD with a dead battery. I have rarely driven the car in the last 3 months so not sure if it is a battery or alternator issue …..
I was wondering if I can connect jump leads to it from my X5 to start if off ?
Considering the X5 battery is on the boot floor, where do I plug the jump leads if possible?
… I am sure an AA person was telling me that it was not safe to use jump leads on an X5 …..
cheers

no ned to open the boot! there are jump lead connecting posts under the x5 bonnet, passenger side on the bulkhead and inner wing.
as long as you have the doner cars engine running during the jump, all should be fine.

Have started our 330Cd off the E53 at the station a couple of times. Just keep the X5 engine running and as soon as the other car starts disconnect. Don't rev either engine!
