Death of DAB in BMW new builds?

Anyone got this new streaming system on their brand new X? BMW Streaming System.

If so how well does it perform in reality?  No smartphone required according to the blurb.

I can stream internet radio using an iphone in my car but not this built in version.

I must say that DAB is bloody annoying, the signal is awful. Certainly not an advancement in my opinion.

FM was far more stable.

Must admit even at home I've not been overly impressed with DAB.

I stream through my iPhone and spec.dock than using the radio on the headunit.

The DAB in the X is awful......drops out all of the time.    Have DAB in the van which works flawlessly.  Probably helps having a proper aerial on the roof!

Would be nice if that worked with my android phone, its not like it's a niche product!
