The ipad mini has just dropped online at Currys PC World to £219. You have to order online though for either collection or delivery.
I have just took back the Asus i bought earlier in the thread and swapped it.

Ipdate;

Finally went and purchased my Ipad Air, gone for 128GB version as it wasn't that much more.
Took the offer of 3 years warranty from John Lewis as Apple's was only 1 years,no brainer there well chuffed with the purchase and many thanks for the advice and comments!

Just a heads up if someone is after a cheap tablet. The older Nexus 7 is down to £109 at carphone warehouse. Just got my daughter one. It is listed with Jelly bean but it updated to KitKat the following day.

For god's sake if you value your time on earth, don't get a Galaxy Tab.

I have an iPad4 and decided on a whim to buy a Galaxy Tab 10.1 from Sainsburys.

it looked good in store but in reality its horrendous.

The inductive buttons are too sensitive and keep getting activated whilst holding the thing, and sweet Jesus it's slow and unresponsive.

Maybe I have been spoilt by my iPad but this tab is awful.
