HID queries

Hi Guys,

I've got a facelift E53 X5 with auto lights but are non-xenon.

Anyone fitted hid kits to there x5 with/without any issues?

You may find that the 55W kit is better. A number of folks have fitted the brighter kit, even on OEM Xenon HID equipped cars, and found the results very pleasing.

I had 55w slimline canbus error free HIDS from HIDS direct, 600k, superb better than OEM easy to fit too. 25 mm hole saw and done in the hour, I didn't get the stainless steel clips in my kit to hold the bulbs in and had to modify my old clips by splitting them with side cutters to allow them to slip over the wire between the bulb and the ballast. Still got the HIDS kit actually and a set of LED angel eyes as I took them off before I partexed the X5 but as said not the clips
