it had a long journey down from Scotland, my friend and i were looking at the fuses for the bluetooth and cd changer this morning (max 20 mins) and when we went to drive off she wouldn't start.

power just kept getting less and less, even central locking failure, preceded by by the tail gate operation.

anyway, dealer is making arrangements for tow to BMW and fitting of new battery after diagnosis

Hi hope glad you got the car and once the battery is sorted it should help.

If that's the original battery it's done well.

I had to replace mine this year and it was the original so can't complain but since fitted been absolutely even if not used for 2 weeks  :)

I'm ok about it at the moment, completely agree about the battery age, so I'm glad its found now when the dealer is still caring about the sale, from this point I know for as long as I have the car the battery will be sound.

If the battery volts were decaying even with the engine running, that may also indicate an alternator issue as that takes (or should) over the running of the vehicle once running.

Still with BMW today, they think it's the battery but heaven forbid they make a diagnosis before 8 hours has elapsed. I will check the battery fully when I get it back and check the alternator output. Got my inpa system running last night, itching to use it on my X5

well it only took BMW 48 hours to decide it was the original battery and then maybe they should order one!

finally got it back at lunch time today!

Is there anyone in the Hertfordshire area that has coding skills that can help with my bluetooth?

and is the a way to get the cd magazine ejected without using the button that doesnt work?

cheers Tye

Hi I'm in Herts but im not able to do that for you,

however I would think Sanj or Jaynana  might know how you do it if you pm them as they both have a lot of knowledge about the electrical side of these cars.

i guess i need to just put some more effort in and just learn what I'm doing, the bluetooth issue is frustrating as my E65 works perfectly. I borrowed the cable and software of my friend and he isnt in a rush to get them back
