Horizon  i see you have a Dynavin head unit , whats that like , bluetooth etc etc , you get it fitted .

I have sold the X5 now, but had the Dynavin for 18 months, didn't have any issues, the blue tooth was good radio quality was poor,  but I found the OEM poor too. Sat nav was good, as I had the primo 2 Igbo installed. I wouldn't recommend the Dynavin as I've heard of a lot of early life failures. Get a tom tom and a parrot instead.

Just to update on this, I bought a BMW scanner and managed to get the Bluetooth into paring mode and paired up my iPhone 5s and I'm pleased to say its working faultlessly. Connects as soon as ignition is on, full phone book synced, calls are crystal clear, made a 20min call without a hitch, answer and end called with the button on steering wheel. I'm well pleased with it

Thanks

Shaun

Was going to add that INPA allows you to pair...
I retrofitted bluetooth to mine and, as there is no cradle fitted or teh button at the front, had to use something to pair it with.

Hi Tye

Congrats on your new purchase !!

If you open the top flap in your armrest where yor phone cradle is you should see a button at the front, this is used to pair your phone..

If it's not there then I'm afraid you don't have bluetooth...

There are many threads on here about pairing etc...

Or it is detailed in your handbooks

You can retrofit without the cradle and pairing button!! but still use OEM hardware
