guys, just a worry, that i as yet don't have an answer to, have any of you guys who have installed the KMAC rear lower control arm bush kits to correct excessive camber after lowering had any experience with the bushes wearing??
i have now got 10,000km on mine and the RH rear wheel appears to have more camber than when first done.
mine squeak fairly noticeable , constantly at low/parking speeds ( on uneven ground) and while im not getting clunks or noises consistent with worn ball joints or bushes, the increased camber on one wheel is none the less concerning.
the other thought is that as the wheel appears to be tipping inwards in relation to the body, maybe its an upper control arm bush or ball joint thats failing
does anyone have any thoughts or experience they can share
thanks
Ewen
EDIT: sitting at my desk wondering whats the deal, so ive just taken it to my mechanic, hes just around the corner thankfully, he quickly checked and yes i have more camber on the RH rear wheel
the LH rear is 1.4 and the RH is 1.7 so not a huge difference, although he said he would prefer to see them even.
my car is due for a service in the next 10 days (i go by the KM travelled and not the dash indicator) so while hes doing the service he will check out the rear suspension.

I'm afraid I'm not really answering your question but wanted to pick up your question on getting the car serviced by km travelled than day sensor - why and how many km between services ?

I was probably one of the first to get them fitted on here and tbh I haven't suffered the same as you describe, well apart from the creaking that is quite prominent. My camber etc is still as it should be. I did get in touch with the company in the States I bought mine from regarding the creaking but they said that was unfortunately a normal occurrence with poly bushes.
I'd certainly get in touch with who you bought them from and get a new set under warranty as I'm sure they'll be covered as they haven't been on very long.

thanks Raj, i hoped you would chip in, im not sure that the bushes are failing the mechanic is thinking one of the eccentric bolts may have moved, as its less that 1 degree maybe its just settled a little. there is no clunking or noises indicating wear.
the squeaking is annoying but thankfully its only at low speed on irregular surfaces,
next week its in for a service so the guys will check it out then, since getting the bushes fitted ive also got new tyres so maybe when the alignment was done the uneven wear was applying load that is now not there, maybe grasping at straws.
as for the question about servicing, i get it done every 10,000 km, engine oil and filter, the mechanics keeps a schedule of whats been done and advise as required, for all else i follow the factory recommendations, i.e. brake service etc,
my car is a 2005 3.0d just approaching 190,000km and going perfect, so im happy
i once let it run to see how long it took before the service indicator came on and it was 20,000km, in my opinion far to long, so for me the cost of an oil change is cheap insurance.
thanks

Re: to those you have installed KMAC rear camber bushes
wow - my service lights come on every 25,000 miles (that's 40,000km). I happen to think that that is too high perhaps but I also think that your service regime is probably too low (at least for me anyway). Each to their own I suppose.
But I do also top up the oil myself.
I do believe that the service lights indictors are, at least in part, down to driving style ie i do a lot of motorway driving and tend to drive very sedately - cant be bothered going fast anymore. I do a lot of miles and see a lot of accidents so im happy to sit back and take my time (and save money on diesel!)

same driving style for me, mostly peak hour bumper to bumper crawl.
im not a big fan of nailing it off from the lights, however i do like to give it some where safe on country roads.
and 10,000km is probably to soon, but im happy with that, i sense that the motor seems, and it might be an illusion, but it seems to get a little noisier mechanically if i leave it past the 10k
i use castrol magnatec

If the upper wishbones are worn it handles very badly on a bumpy road. I kow because I've just had mine replaced, I'm not lowered though.
