Discounts on F15

I don't like the F15 at all & won't be placing an order - I think they'll sell well though as it's a damn site cheaper than the new RRS. The old RRS was 58K I think? & the new model 85k?!! Where do Land Rover get these figures from. Are they trying to inflate the price of used RR Sports to keep the chavs out of them, ie trying to refresh the image problem. So that wil work well for the new X5, and the Cayenne / ML etc
[/quote]
The petrol super charged one is £85k (similar to an X5M) but diesels aren't as much
Also relatively well specced

Re: Discounts on F15
Indeed. I looked at the RRS and looking at the diesel equivalent of the 30d the RRS came out about £3500 more than the F15 i specced. This was with a similar spec on both cars, the waters are muddied slightly by the fact that different things come as standard on each make.
The "cost to change" if trading in will be different though as I don't see us getting the same sort of trade in from RR for a BMW. I couldnt even get them to make me an offer of PX because the delivery lag (when I looked in August) was for delivery in April / May 2014. Dealer said they couldnt (or wouldnt) work out a trade in price for a car that far ahead. The reality is that demand was / is far outstripping supply, so they can afford to be choosy!
I decided it was too long to wait and will be going for an "ugly" f15. ::)

Good luck with the RRS, gorgeous looking car. Will look great in your garage, drive, side of the road, supermarket car park. Just make sure you're on good terms with your local taxi service lol
Seriously, would probably buy a RRS if they were offering any kind of discount, and hadn't been burned by terrible reliability problems with a Disco 4 HSE. Great car, built by monkeys.
Surprised you're bashing the X5 so badly J, having been such a fan of the E70, at least a few years ago.
I test drove the F15 and its a way better car than the E70, subjective looks aside.

Me?
I'm not getting a RRS.
Was I such a fan ?
Too big for most parking spaces
Horrible ride
Not economic
Lots of faults
Crap aftercare
Shit is snow
Yes new one drives nice but has lost the only edge it had over its competitors-Sporty drive.

Re: Discounts on F15
Apologies, must have misread, thought you posted you got a deal on the RRS. Stood out to me as I've bought 3 landy's and couldn't get a discount.
8% on the M-Sport, above book on p/ex and 5.9% PCP - maybe because it's so 'fugly'.
Personally I like it. It's a bigger version of my F11 which has been superb, and does this look ugly:

Re: Discounts on F15
Have to agree to differ then. Thought I'd stumbled upon an Audi or Merc board reading all the hate towards the new F15. If it's representative, then we wont be seeing too many on the roads.
IMO it really only has one competitor, especially if you factor in the 7 seat option, and that's the RRS, which is over £12k more expensive like for like.
RRS is better looking, no doubt about it, but the X5 has it beat on power/fuel efficiency. I also expect it to be safer and more reliable this time around. No comparison for tech (TJA, new HBA, etc) , including satnav idrive vs RRS touch (2 or 3 times) screen.
I think WC, for once, got it about right in the group test. Overall the RRS is a better car, but not £12k better IMO.

Re: Discounts on F15
£12k-it's only money!!
To be fair it will always happen when a new model is launched the old owners don't like the new model probably just out of jealousy.
Had it on the boxster forum and the RS forum.

I still think the E53 is the best looking, ground breaking SUV out there though. After that, it was just evolutions.

Re: Discounts on F15
I'm trying to explore and validate/challenge my purchase decision. Happy with the test drive and the spec, and not too concerned what others think about the looks. Biggest worry was the ride quality. If I remember right 535d we were both looking at the E70 around the same time, you pushed the button and I backed out. I wanted to like it but it just didn't feel special, and the ride was pants! That said, I was pleasantly surprised at how the F15 adaptive M suspension absorbed speed humps and pot holes.
I hear you on the E53, but wasn't that big a fan of the looks. Great car though. I can't see what else they can do to create a ground breaking SUV/SAV these days. It's probably going to be a self driving pure electric car with range.

Re: Discounts on F15
Thought the name looked familiar.
Both E60/1 and e70 were colour and spec sensitive and you are right I had one of the first 535msport tourers and m sport e70s and I think my spec helped them loook ok
I've not yet seen an f15 with the correct spec
The ride is a lot better in this new car though.
What are you in now?
