Recalls

Post by Sanj » Fri Nov 26, 2010 5:45 pm

Hi All,

Would anyone know how I should go about finding out what recalls need to be done on a BMW (not the X5). I know what has been done but wondered how to find the complete list and then use that to say, please can they do it as it's been missed...

Hi Sanj

If you call any Bmw dealer and quote the chassis number (last seven numbers) they can check the warranty history and any recalls that have been carried out or are outstanding , failing that pm me the chassis number and I will check for you in work on Monday

Hope that helps

Go to the VOSA website:

http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls ... sp?tx=VOSA

Put in your required search criteria, and see what comes back.

Sanj, every time a BMW goes into a main dealer for work or servicing an automatic check is done to confirm all recalls are done and upto date. The service guys would normally do this and stamp the workshop job card accordingly. If the vehicle is out side of main dealer care then as others have said a quick call to a dealer will confirm the situation for you.
