Sat Nav. Disc error

Post by Bigrichw » Thu Nov 14, 2013 1:12 pm

Is there anyway to reset the Nav? It was working fine now it just says error reading disc. I've removed it and cleaned it. No change. Will sometime say please wait... And nothing.

Could be a couple of things if the disc is clean.

Crud on the laser pickup or laser failure (focus or device) meaning it can't see the disc properly.

You can replace it yourself as long as you can get the parts.

There's a 'How To' on this thread on Xoutpost (thanks folks) that you can look at to decide if it's a goer for you or you need someone who supplies refurbed units as a swap out etc.

I was having the same problem, after a lot of messing around, I sent it off to this guy.

Brilliant service, turned it round within 24 hours and upgraded the software to the latest RELIABLE version.
Highly recommended.
