Anyone else going for a launch weekend gander or drive in one (16/17 Nov that is)?
I'm down for a drive on 18th as it's available for a few hours as opposed to 10 mins round the block so next tyre kicker in line can have a go.
I may be interested in a commuting car, and the novelty value of things always appeals to the schoolboy part of me.

i3 anyone?
Re: i3 anyone?
We're on the list. Just to see what it's like, and for the same reason - a commuter car.

As both the wife and I do between 50 and 100 miles a day I will be looking seriously at the i3 in the future.

Re: i3 anyone?
Very expensive commuter car, you have to do a lot of more miles to reap the benefits.
Interesting how test drives will go as presumably you can't take it too far before it runs out
I like the idea but not the cost. Looked at twizzy and electric smart which also worked out quite expensive.
My office is 3 miles from home, station 12 and gatwick 20 so all possible in such a Vehicle.

Yeah that could be awkward for it to run out of puff whilst on the job.
Ps I thought I could leave an electric car at yours and use your electric to charge it up whilst I'm in London. Your wife could run me to the station/hotel room and back.

Re: i3 anyone?
Like I said, novelty value plus it's a bit more manly (a bit) than a Prius. Will look see anyway as alternative would be a 1 series - though I'd have to get the m135 which then makes it a second car not a commuter which either of us, or my elder kids should they visit, could drive without me biting nails and pacing up and down the hall.....
