Lowering kit
Post by StaffordPotter » Wed Nov 06, 2013 2:56 pm
New to the site but after some advice...... I'm looking at lowering my recently purchased 3.0 sport 2001 E53 and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good kit to purchase for a reasonable price! Thanks in advance

For the rear you need two of these
http://airridelowering.com/?page_id=180
If you ring them they will sell you a pair for just the rear I think it was about £60.00 they sent me a Paypal invoice and sent them out the next day great to deal with.
Put the front springs on and then just adjust the rear to suit
You can do the rear with a computer but I preferred this way.

Have you thought about going with a full front/rear kit and removing the air suspension at the rear?

It is a petrol, how much of a job is it Raj to replace with the springs from air? Cheers

To change the rears isn't a massive job compared to the fronts. You need springs and perches for the rears. You can get away with usin the existing shocks. Fronts are more work as its standard setup so complete shock/springs out and change out springs accordingly.
