E Bay "BMW Ediabas Inpa DIS SSS Progman GT1 Diagnostics" cable & software

Could any member who has bought one of these advise whether the software operates  stand-alone or whether it relies on hacking the BMW servers?

As long as you know how to use it!

Like a number of the applications that gets into the 'brain' of the car, a wrong move can brick a module.

Have a look at bmwcoding.com to get an idea of the tool.  There's usually lots of useful gen over there, as well as folks who know what you can and also mustn't do  :)

Thanks very much - and a good caution. I have used a PA10 for a few years but I guess you can do a lot more (and hence more damage) with INPA etc.!

No you can't on the PA10 - plus many of the PA10 analysis fields are 'null' - I will pm the vendor re. the Jarman bit -thanks for the advice  :)

waw, just searched around for BM Technic whom i bought this kit from - was going to recommend them, super guy Chris who owned it.

Appears that they've stopped trading!

as for the german - for ncs you can use ncs dummy for an english translation of all the coding.
