Fitting aftermarket sat nav

If I fit a replacement sat nav will I still get the computer readings on the dash ???

thats something i was thinking about to , if your talking about replacing the head unit  then the readings on dash will go, i think , i keep my mpg up all the time , i was thinking of an Alpine INE-W928R . but would hate to lose the dash readings ...

is mpg etc not still on the odometer screen, i cant remember now because its 6 month since i sold mine

You'll still have them on the dash but won't be able to reset them (as that's done through the headunit). You can extend the wiring harness to the glovebox and it just the mid unit into there to control the counters, etc).

Thanks for the replys I think I will keep searching for the nav drive for my original head unit it keeps things simple
