What Planned Mods Do You Have ?

Hello fellow X Drivers, only recently got my X5 love it so much as I said in the n00b section.

Anyway just wanted to know what planned mods you guys have ?

Im not looking to go too mad, like bodykits and that just little changes here and there.

Rear tints - possibly limo black
White LED interior lights
Callipers painted black
Smoked LED side repeaters
Black and White carbon effect badges
D9MMI all in 1 head unit with reverse camera
Rear LED lights conversion
Headlight conversion, still unsure as to what I will do though. Any advice ?
Fix cluster instrument, will use these guys - http://www.clusterrepairsuk.co.uk/ walking distance from me

Bigger wheels - 22" AC Schnitzers would be nice
Poly bushes
Heated steering wheel
Andrive headunit

will have to postpone all of them till after xmas now though as just booked holiday to mexico!

Are your headlights Xenon of Halogen? If Xenon why not do what I did to a set I picked up to give them a fresh look (if you dont have Xenon like i didnt get some there far better at night)

LCD screens in the rear headrests

Dynavin D99 android headunit with OBC wired into the glovebox
TPMS
Rear tints
Steering wheel retrimmed and extra padding
LED interior bulbs
LED puddle lights (still to fit)

Next mods on my list are
Refurb alloys or upgrade to larger alloys
Need two rear speaker covers
fit a relay and remote for the webasto
LED rear lights
Cluster pixel repair

Had mine for 7 months now and all Ive done is de-badge the 3.0d from sides and the X5 from the rear. Have replaced the front and rear BMW badges with black carbon ones and I have upgraded to white angel eyes instead of the orange.

Would love to get it lowered, BIGGER wheels and exhaust but funds are tight just now.

Hi guys,

Used the forum a lot but finally thought I would jump on.

I have done a few mods already:

Led interior lights
Led Number plate lights
led angel eyes
hid headlights
dice ipod unit
black and white badges all round
black kidney grille
black mesh grille
black bonnet scoop grille

The kidney grille is wrapped in vinyl and the rest have been sprayed amd the badges have vinyl triangles cut and stuck over them. Saved a lot of money this way and you cant tell the difference IMO.

I'll jump on the bandwagon.

Had my X5 4.4 V8 LPG'ed motor since May so 6 months totally stock when I picked it up apart from the LPG.

Here's my list of mods carried out:

All interior lights swapped to LED
LED mirror puddle lights
LED number plate lights
Rear lights tinted
Longlife exhaust system
Dash cluster repair (done myself)
Blacked bonnet grills
De-oranged indicator bulbs
IS front lower valance fitted
Smoked front fogs
Rear bumper lower molding sprayed body colour (to look like IS)
22" deep dished wheels fitted
rear wheels spaced 20mm
Factory Xenons fitted
8000k HID bulbs fitted
Headlights split and SMD rings fitted and orange refector sprayed black
Mod carried out to make rings come on when unlocking and to have them run as DRL's
Factory E70 front wiper conversion (Aero blades and arms)
Factory E70 rear wiper arm and blade fitted
Alpine 12" sub and Alpine amp wired into stock stereo system (hooked up with quick release for quick removal)
Retro fit power fold mirrors with auto dim
Powerflex bushes fitted to new front lower arms.

4.6 style exhaust on order can't wait to fit.

Which steering wheel is the Sport model? The one with twin spokes at 6 oclock?

Yes on pre-facelifts it's twin spokes at 6 o'clock and trimmed like the other inserts on centre console, doors and dash.
