Window lift repair ?

Post by Frontman » Mon Oct 14, 2013 11:37 pm

Hi folks, I have had a troll through the forum but........
Did I see a repair kit for the front electric window lifter . Not had a look yet but the passenger side window goes down and wedges itself intro the door. It can be persuaded in an emergency bit living in Lancashire it's always a bit of a risk.
I seem to remember a kit or part being available but instead of waisting hours trolling about I'm sure raj or someone will know where to go.
Hey thanks peeps,

I'd really like to think you were trawling through the forum rather than trolling  :)

If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

I just did mine recently. Replaced both plastic clips. But it turned out to be the cast iron runner that the cable clips into.  £8 on ebay for a plastic one so might be worth changing that as well as it also seems to be a common fault and an easy fix.
You dont have to remove the airbag btw. Im not sure why people say you do. I just left it in place
