Post by paddy wright » Fri Oct 04, 2013 11:09 pm

Sorry Paddy, which year is yours, and what iDrive do you have?

I think the answer is yes if you have a MY2011 onwards with a CIC drive.  Mine plays them if one is put in the centre slot, but I have DVD prep and just never bothered with the DVD changer.

Unfortunately the CCC version doesn't support DVD as you suspected.... :(

Does this mean my 2011 vehicle would play a DVD if put in the slot?  Pointless thing I'll no doubt never use, but good to know for the once a year I go on the Eurostar.

It should do.  The CIC drive has DVD playback as long as in Park.

You might have a flat battery after the tunnel run though.....

The DVD drive is not designed for film DVDs etc. you can get a DVD changer etc to play through the screen but may require a video module.

It is on the CIC drive, no changer required.
