4 million licensees are over 70 now and getting on for 130 are over 100.

I agree with the 're-test' requirement but successive Governments know they don't have enough examiners and it's too expensive to do.

I know I learned a lot from my IAM training, and have thought about doing the RoSPA one as well as that needs re tests regularly.  It is disappointing that so few insurers take notice of those with 'advanced' driving qualifications.

i also need some training.. and i wouldn't mind some tests too - on how to drift cars etc..  :))

Why are the EU always wanting to decrease the speed limits ? As some one said Germany seems to run it anyway & with their auto bahns I haven't seen any speed cameras put forward for them !
  I think the engine size & performance of your car should determine the speed limit , the limits were put in when cars had no Abs or anything else .
