Tv/Nav Upgrade?

Post by Raward » Sun Sep 15, 2013 12:11 pm

Has anyone recently upgraded their sat nav/TV unit to a touch screen unit with all the whistles and bells ie DVD Bluetooth etc.?
If you search the net there are quite a few but I wondered if anyone could recommend one or if anyone has fitted a unit that they could genuinely endorse as very good?
Thanks

I have :) My advice would be to choose wisely. If you can afford it go for one of the brand names. I got one of the cheaper ones on ebay, and I am having "issues" with it.

This is supposed to be the best aftermarket OE looking system for the E39.

Some are better than others and the Andrive in my opinion is the best of the bunch, but it is far from perfect if your expecting OEM quality and function. They all have a windows CE operating system in the background- even the Android ones, and this is very old hat. I'm running a mk 4 hualingan and it looks spot on but it is hard to use on the move due to a poor touch screen and some of the screens look like they are styled from the 80s
