Also you must ensure you use the "NO" terminal and not the "NC" terminal.
See the diagram on page 2 of this thread.

Mcc thanks, I thought n.o was the way to wire it other wise it would be latched permanently when off?? I.e normally open would be open circuit when no power to it which is what we want... Not normally closed???

BLO See diagram on page 2.
mcc See PM.
gareth
Hot check is circuit continuity when the bulb are on looking for non working bulbs.
Cold is when the key is turned and before the light are on. A low current is pulsed through the lighting circuit.
The latter is why my LED side markers (lower resistance than filament bulbs) pulse ten times when I turn the key. I should disable cold checking.

Re: Parking heater remote start- Enabling
Hi thanks for the reply, my LED markers and rear number plate LED's strobe when ingition is turned on so then this is the cold check which needs disabled. Is the strobing every 30 secs when lights are off the hot check or is that still the cold check?
I have worked out to enable beep and flashing on locking/ unlocking and enable HEAT ON (I have the old MID not monior, doing this you lose the stopwatch functions), if timer is set does it default at heat on or vent on?
How do I disable cold check with BMW scanner 1.4.0
Cant wait to check out if heater works (will install relay and remote if working)
Many many thanks

BL02WAS, live from the power feed to common on the relay.
N.O on the relay to the heater pin 1.
Hope that helps.

Come on BLO2WAS sort it out after all my expert advise and you are still dragging your heels
BTW i hope you aren't involved in any wiring/electrics down where you work or they may have to send you back to Texas on another course
Someone mentioned a good battery - I had that problem. Battery changed all was fine...
i'd tried mine in the past and nothing, but i too think the battery was on its way out, just had a new one fitted along with new fuel pumps back and front (don't ask) so now the cold weather is here im hoping i can get this thing to work.......
