New X3 owner

Post by 3000gt ant » Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:48 pm

Hi Guys,

Just bought myself a bmw x3 2.5i M sport. I have previously owned a 325i and have missed the build quality these cars have, so returned to one.

Everything has not been a great start if i'm honest though. Both rear carpets were soaking wet so I have spent the most of the weekend trying to fix and thanks to various sites have managed to fix them, expect a fantastic how to shortly though  ;)

Looking forward to start modding soon, HID lights etc.

cheers
Ant

Edit; forgot to add i'm a good friend of one of your ex forum users times5 (aka Phill) so thanks to him to pointing me to this forum.

Welcome aboard.

Not a great start but sounds like you got it all sorted.

Look forward to the pics and mods.

I had the very same problem with my old X3. It turned out to be a break in the rear washer feed pipe, located near the centre console. So every time i used the rear washer, the off-side foot wells would fill with water... >:(

Fixing it would have been an expensive job. so i simply disconnected the the rear washer at the reservoir.
