remapping 59 plate x5 35d

Post by kenniff » Mon Sep 09, 2013 11:18 pm

Can anyone tell me the cost, performance increase and what happens after I get the vehicle serviced (ie does the remap get wiped)?

thanks

It'll be allright in the end. If it isn't allright it isn't the end

£300
60 more Bhp and 100lb/ft
Only if they reflash it which they don't need to do at a service.

Thought you were buyin a new one?

thanks :)
Yes, still negotiating..... but wondered about remapping if I go for new 30d and I find its a bit slow... so asked about a current car to get an idea. TBH was more concerned about the wiping issue.

Remapping new one is a different issue

New ECUs tend to be hard/impossible to crack

Will invalidate warranty too

I won't remap a new car now.

Good job you only have one relatively new car in your aging fleet then
