The handbook advises that all electrical items be turned off before exiting the car to avoid draining the battery.
Is there a way for all devices to be turned off automatically when to lock the car using the Comfort Access method rather than the key?

Comfort Access
Re: Comfort Access
I always use the comfort access method ie hold the door handle to lock/unlock the car. I thought it was the same as using the key.
It certainly turns off the idrive and I've never had issues with the battery and I typically do very short journeys.

Sramsay,
So as you are getting out of the car, is your radio still on?
Are you saying that it switches off when you lock the car by holding the door handle?

Re: Comfort Access
On mine locking the car with CA switched everything off (eventually).
The only one anomally I found was if already on a call via bluetooth, and you switch of the car and lock it whilst transferring the call to the phone- the screen stayed on for a very long time. As a fix I just used to end the call, and call again once the car was locked.
Also if the car battery is running low, the CA is switched off to conserve power.

Yes, that's what happens on mine. I press the start/stop button once and the engine cuts off but all other services remain. Once I swipe the door handle, everything switches off.

Re: Comfort Access
Yes, as Don describes, that's exactly what I do.
The only time I really use the key is to double lock to disable he motion detection or if I want to remotely open/close all the windows.
