Interior illumination

Post by Rusty » Sun Sep 01, 2013 11:57 pm

A simple question regarding the control illuminations for you on the E53

Should the rear passenger heater controls have illumination or not as the kids had quite a 'vocal' challenge trying to see the temp position in the dark last night.

Also, should the temp dial on the centre dash vent illuminate too?

Thought it was easier to ask on here before starting to take things apart.

I know at least one of you would know for sure.

Cheers

I think they should...
But they don't..

I had mine out a while ago and definitely no illuminationin them...

Sometimes BMW can be such cheapskates.

Could be a tricky mod too.  May have a look but don't hold your breath :-)

I think the centre upper is just painted so you would need to add light and guides......or some small and very smart looking LEDs into the dots.  Now there's a project.. :)
