Hi all.
Is anyone else having issues using the Samsung Galaxy S4 with the handsfree bluetooth?
It pairs ok and shows connected for a bit then disconnects itself and the middle of the 3 lights on the satnav unit flashes red. I manually connect it from the phone and it says connected then again disconnects.
My old S3 worked fine.

Re: Bluetooth with Galaxy S4
Which version of Bluetooth does the S4 support? It just might be that the version in the car does not play nicely with the version on the phone. I think the cars were made with version 1.1 or 1.2 depending upon what TCU is actually fitted.
We've had issues with some phones on our 2005 E46 and it was suggested that the Bluetooth version could be the cause.
Just a thought....

Re: Bluetooth with Galaxy S4
as x5sport says, newer phones just dont seem backward compatible with the x5 bluetooth version. >:(
my old sony erricson 800i circa 2005 works perfectly in the car streaming texts to the obc etc. every newer phone ive had has issues tho, so much i just dont even use the bluetooth option in the car anymore with calls cutting out mid call, i just use a cheap visor mounted hands free unit (also circa 2005 which works well)

Hi mate.....I have the same issue with my htc one s
My x5 is a 2004. Wish there was a easy fix instead of having to source a new x5 Bluetooth module and then fit it.
