Full screen satnav/TV

Well I test drove the x today and needless to say loved it! It is a fantastic car ( pics to follow when i get home- at airport now)

One thing that puzzled me and can't find an answer to, wheb using the idrive the screen can't be made full screen for TV or nav etc but stays split - done older forums reckon there are actually two screens and full screen isn't possible?? Any one know how on 08 idrive how to turn off the access screen and go full screen?

Push the idrive control towards your left knee and you will get the options of what you can have on the right of the screen.
