**GONE** 3 piece suite - not made by BMW!!

Ok so it's not a car, or even car related, but I thought I would canvas the assembled company anyway to see what interest there might (or might not) be.  If no interest it will either be skipped or gumtree'd or summat.  We have a few weeks until the new one arrives.....and then it must go one way or another.

We have decided that the 3-piece suite we have had since 1996 needs replacing with one that better fits our current home.

The suite comprises:

1. Recliner Armchair on a round base (not wheels)
1. Non- recliner armchair - fixed feet
1. 3 seat sofa with a recliner at each end.

All in black leather.

When new it cost a scary £4k (leather cost a lot back in the 90's) and considering it's age it's actually in good nick as the leather has been cared for since new.  Looking for around £200,.  Buyer will have to collect as we have no means of moving it.  Everything does come to bits and the cushions do all detach as they are zipped & Velcro'd on.  This unit came from the USA before DFS went downmarlet (IMHO) so the mechanisms are all VERY sturdy and the leather high quality.

The arm cushions will need re-stuffing at some point (inner cushions come out of the leather cover for that purpose) but the seat bases are all fine and the foam inners are still as they were.  No tears on the fronts, and just a few non serious scratches on the back where our cats occasionally decide to climb that way instead of the normal way - so just the odd claw mark which is still colour fast.

AM15's......not made any longer unfortunately.  Will have to get KEF next time as I need to stay with small speakers as I don't have the room for full sized 9-2 units.

I've got the AM16. Like you wanted a setup that did not take over the room.

Takes a bit of time to set it up initially, but once done sounds great IMO.  I know the audiophile lot don't rate Bose- but I do! )

The newer jewel cubes don't sound as good I don't think.

Good luck with the sofa sale- FWIW our current sofas are Harveys- our previous set were the lower quality DFS stuff (after the US stock) and they just did not last.

About as much as I expected from this lot to be honest..... ) )

Oh and the sheep is a cat toy/scratching post, and the Celebrations box is full of more cat toys!  That's the fun of Bengals, they have as many toys as children!!

No the sofa won't fit a 35d (it might in a Hummer though) and the recliners are manual and there's no heating.... ). It would fit in pvr's 'man cave.

Gotta laugh. I asked my husband if he fancied a drive and we ended up in DFS in '96 and no sooner we were in there he walked out just shy of 4k later after ordering a sofa.  He reckons it was an expensive day out but it's been brilliant and they seriously don't make that grade of leather any more. We still have it even two houses later. In our old house we even had the double glazing removed to get it back out we loved it that much.

What did you expect letting these "good for nothing's" into you proposed sale all the best.  Look at it this way the more plebs like me posting the more limelight.  You have to discount 535dboy though as we all know he's a glory seeker
