Post by jaynana » Mon Aug 26, 2013 10:59 am

clicky..

not bad for the 3 series - considering its price tag compared to other top sellers!

don't know what ppl see in the Qashqai!

Surprised that an Astra sells more than a Golf. No way in the world would I get an Astra when there is a much nicer Golf available.

They're cheap both to buy and run, and a lot of fleets use them especially as discounts of 30% (or more) are on offer to fleet buyers.  I agree though as I would much rather have a Golf than an Astra, but for those on a budget, £4k is a big gap at the base model level.  Same with Ford.

i'm not that surprised about the vauxhaul vs golf, 12x to 16x is i guess a significant jump.

surprised though about how the 3 series has beaten both mercs (c) and the audis (a4s) pants down..

also in the small car segment audi A1 is only 20th!! ppl seem to prefer VAUHAUL to AUDIs in the same category and price bracket  :))

I only drive a Vauxhall  (or rather Opel) when on holiday as a rental. That normally leaves me scarred for life :)

I do remember a certain sand track to a holiday house in Spain one year that was about 3 miles long, oh boy was that rental car fast on that  :))

Did lose a few parts on the way though (gear lever came off, hand brake surround was spinning around, glove box had to be blue tacked back on  :-[

:))

had some rental car experience  last month in spain - although with 2 rather bulky 9-seaters.

must say i thoroughly enjoyed goin back to manual gears! suffices to say - those engines were 'well run in' by the time they were returned  :))

photos when i booked from here were mercs, but i got a VW and a Fiat when i got there..

PLUS must say - walked right in (although knowingly thanks to this forum but was too late to change) into the scam of having to get a full tank at their own rate and then return teh car with an empty tank; having to buy fully comp insurance although i thought i had it packaged in!!

there was also a mileage cap which we exceeded and now watching mail daily to see the dreaded bill!!
