Thanks 535dboy and X5Sport. I'll do a bit of research into options available and order some new lamps today.

They are very easy to change - 5 min job EASY job on the X5 - one set does the DRL and Halos as they are the same bulb ;-)

Very not ORANGE now - which was my aim ;-)

I've just been out with one of the guys that works for me and took a picture of his standard BMW DRLs in direct sunlight...

Sidelights are dimmer than the DRLs - they are on all cars

Had colleague following me yesterday in his new 1 with led DRLs an they were mega bright and it was very sunny here yesterday.

No doubt your correct and neither he nor I have any idea how to use his lights.

Could you furnish us with some pictures of your drls with your cars next to each other with bright sunshine shining on them please for clarification?

I don't think that the sunlight was as bright as it was today in that picture you've linked too plus it looks like you are bending down for the snaps or your a midget?

Can you not see the bright blue sky and the metal parts glinting in the sun.

Couldn't have been sunnier !!!

Yes I'm a midget and it is well known. That is why I used to own a great big X5 to feel more significant.
