Can anyone pls tell me what this connector is for??
It is under the floor mat tied to the back panel where the speaker wires run.

sounds like its for the tow bar electrics

The 12-pin connector is likely to be as above, the towbar electrics.  There is a 'Black 12-pin Connector' listed as X393s in the boot.

But requires the towbar electronics module adjacent the battery to be fitted prior to this socket being useable..
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
