annoying creaking sound all round.

hi guys i have a 2001 x5 thats got a annoying creaking sound all round.

if i place my foot on the break then very slowly creep forward or back theres creaking comming from all 4 brakes anyone have any ideas what it might be.

i have checked the fluid level and that seems ok.

the noise seems to be comming from the 2 front discs and the 2 rear drum all round?

i took a video in dark, you can hear the sound.as i creep forward. it also does it when reversing slowly.

anyone have any ideas im thinking its the breaks
is there any way to fix this, what about if i used anti squeal brake lube would that get rid of the creaking noise ?

Welcome to the forum jj.

This your first auto? That's a common noise on these cars and most autos mate.

The pads are still binding on to the discs as you attempt to lift your foot off the brakes and on to the accelerator (as the car begins to creep forward). Goes away once you move off, right?

Agree with above. Just the brakes.

No - that's normal.

oh ok thanks, its just a friend of mine also has a x5 and his dont make any sound
