Hi to all am new to the site.
Have a 2005 X5 4.8is that has the dreaded suspension in active warning. Along with the DSC, ABS and Parking brake warning lights illuminated.
Everything lit up one morning when I came to start it.
Local independent says its the control unit that is dead as there diagnostics can't get a signal from it??
The units are non existent second hand and BMW want over 600 quid and that's a lot to spend out to find its not actually that.
All fuses seem to be intact although there it only one of the two fuses labelled as air suspension actually fitted in the boot. Fuse 87 which should be 30amp is not fitted but the holder doesn't have a live feed from it?
Do I take the 600 quid plus hit or shall I bin the air suspension totally.
Been trying to find thread on here from someone that has got rid of it on 4.8.
Can anyone give me idea of price for full conversion and anyone decent that will do it as independent wont even entertain the idea.
I live on north Wales/ Cheshire border.
Thanks for any help guys!!

Hi - Get in touch with Raj. And he'll do it for you too. He's done it to his 4.8is.
Sure your ABS sensor isn't to blame - they ca cause the dash to light up like a Christmas tree too.
