Got stuck in first gear!

Has this happened to anyone else?
Started driving the car and realised it was stuck in first. So I tried flipping it over to manual mode but the display didn't change and it didn't budge.
Pulled over turned it off and back on, and worked fine.
Anything I should be worried about?
No warnings on dash.

If it doesn't happen again then fine.

It could have been something like the transmission computer failing to 'boot' correctly.  Could be a dying battery, or something having a momentary glitch - as we know these cars have an 'owner scaring propensity' for doing :blink:

It had a box rebuild a couple of years ago. So fingers crossed its not needing another one
