Check brake fluid warning light???

Hi all
Just picked up the X after being parked up for 10 days.
Drove about a mile and had a warning light up saying check brake fluid and brake pad wear light illuminated- this goes out after a few miles??
Checked fluid when I got home and all is ok.
Got it booked in with local Indy on Friday.
Is it just likely to be pads or something else???

I would have thought that the wear sensors stay tripped once triggered, but I may be wrong.

Has the fluid been changed in the last two years?

All solved-I hope!!!

In my tiredness from my holiday I blabbed on here without actually checking the fluid-to be truthful I didn't even know where it was located the car is that new to me!!!

Just checked in my manual,located the reservoir and read what the warning light actually meant and the fluid is just on the minimum mark so I'm hoping that it just need topping up..

I think I must get round to reading the manual properly!!!

It's in for new front bushes and 4x tyres Friday so could do without any further expense!!!
