FYI - I'm still sorting my AC problem but if you have a faulty aircon take it to KwikFit if you can tolerate them. If their refill fails they will not charge you. They will also add a dye which is detectable in uv light if there is a suspected leak. Hope this helps someone.

The aircon in the V8 is absolutely wonderful........I run mine all year round, always have done, and have not had to refill yet - my 4.8is is a 2005.

Likewise, our 2002 3.0d is still ice cool. I do drop all the windows on the key first to let the heat out and then on with the aircon. Compared to our new Citroen DS3 its far better.
