Run Flats for SALE

Post by Avtar » Sun Jun 02, 2013 12:48 pm

I have the following:

1 Bridgestone 315/35R20 - Like new replaced under tyre insurance, I did 8 miles on it before changing to non run flats, it still has some of the sticker on it £250, collection preferred, however, if it is to be delivered then please account for P&P.

2 Bridgestone 275/40R20 with an average of 4-5mm tread, one has had a puncture repair (that I was not aware of until it was removed). £50 for the pair, collection preferred, however, as above if they are to be delivered then please account for P&P.

Thanks

Hi, If the rear is for the offside then I'm very interested.  Could you please advise if NSR or OSR, thanks.

I didn't realise tyres were sided? Where does it say on them which side is which?

Should be an arrow (possibly also with the word 'Rotation' to show the rolling direction for forwards) if they're directional patterned.  If they aren't directional then no problem and it doesn't matter.  It will depend upon the tyre.

This is on my Dunlop Sportmaxx NSR tyre (left is the front of the car).

They may be directional, but that won't matter you can mount them so the arrow faces forward on either side
Even the tyres on my road bike are directional

There are no rotational markings on the tyre only 'inside' and 'outside' markings

Any tyre can be fitted to either side of the car. If the tyre is directional then the arrow must be aligned with the direction of rotation and if they are asymmetric then they must be mounted with the word outside on the outside. The only time there is a problem is when a directional tyre is fitted to the wheel, if you want to swap the wheels over from side to side you have to remove the tyre from the wheel and turn it round. Asymmetric tyres don't matter as the outside is always the outside. HTH
