Sapphire Black E53 owner

Evening all

I've recently purchased a 2005 x5 E53 3.0d Sport in Sapphire Black, black leather, full service and 70k on the clock.

I was told by a mate to pop on here.

I've got a list of jobs to sort on it as I'm a bit OCD.....

Just fitted new discs and bads.

Current job list is....

Re-Sprayed bonnet (stone chips)
All wheels properly refurbed, total strip and recoat.
Up grade the idiotic yellow angel lights......why oh why did they do that!?
Genuine standard badges for...bonnet,tailgate and wheels.
A trip to the mappers
Breather upgraded if not done so (mine is a may 2005 car so m guessing old style breather?)
Replace all wiper arms as they have a blue hue to them.
Oil service.



Then once the above is done it will get a Full detail and waxed.....then I shall get some pictures posted.

Hi and welcome to the site.
Sounds like your going to be busy getting your new X sorted, the crankcase breathers were changed to the vortex type late 05 I think, I would change the air filter while your at it, as you will be half there with all the covers off whilst checking / changing the breather. They get left unchanged even by BMW because they are such a job to get at.
