I'm trying to have a major clear down of 'stuff' that's accumulated!
'DEE 80N' is currently on Retention, until April 2014 (assignment fee paid) and can be applied to any car as it is classed as a 'dateless' plate
£1600 ovno (which compares well to the other dateless DEE plates available)
Thanks

'DEE' Private Plate - anybody know a Dee???
Re: 'DEE' Private Plate - anybody know a Dee???
That's not a 'dateless' plate. Official dateless mainland UK plates finished in 1963. Dateless plates have no year codes. 'N' denotes August 1974 to July 1975. It can't be put on any vehicle registered before 1st Aug 1974.

X5Sport, tell me you got that info from the DVLA site??? :'( You are absolutely correct
Strange thing is the V750 Certificate of Entitlement makes no mention of it at all. I know with the current style and prefix style plates, the date rules applied but on the above purchased plate (which I now know to be a suffix style plate) I did not know this was the case and was not informed at purchase by the DVLA.
The only fortunate thing I see is that the chances of somebody wanting to purchase the above plate and assign it to a car registered before August 1974 would actually be quite slim.
Thanks for providing the info

My first car was an 'M' plate and I knew that was 'date restricted' - and before 535dboy steps in, yes I am that old....... :'(
