Correct Battery

Post by toejam23 » Wed Jul 10, 2013 10:10 pm

Evening all.

Had a dead battery 2 out of 3 days and was just reading about possible reasons and noticed most people talking about the Bosch S5 being the best but when I checked mine its a Bosch S3. Could this be a possible reason that the battery's not correct. Presumably the S3 is inferia?

What is the main difference?

Nick

Probably a better cold cranking rating but also I believe the '5' is a 5yr guarantee and the '3' is 3yrs guarantee

Just replaced mine with a BOSCH Silver from ECP. I got the 4 year guarantee jobbie. The 5 year does have a marginally better spec and of course a 5 year guarantee.

The battery code for the X5 is a "019" and any of these code will fit.

ECP are 20% off at present and did a brilliant job on delivery. I had both the X5 and the Z4 with completely flat batteries when I got back from holiday last week. Phoned local ECP at 4pm, who had both in stock and batteries delivered by just gone 5pm.....free.
