Westfalia Towbar Parts

Post by ts210 » Wed Jul 10, 2013 12:13 pm

Hi everyone, Newbie signing in with my first post!

I've just become the proud owner of a 2003 3.0d X5 Sport, what a machine  8)

I've managed to get hold of a Westfalia towbar from a scrappie, complete with detachable ball and 13 pin electrics :-)
Reading a most excellent post on here about fitting it to me X5, it seems i'm missing the bumper support brackets that come with new kits??
Anyone know where I can get some??

Ta

Welcome

The obvious answer is Westfalia themselves, or a reputable Towbar company.
PF Jones is one to look for.
They may be able to assist in sourcing parts
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking bollox.. O:-)

Mate, go back to the scrappers and ask them to remove the brackets if they still have the X.
They will still be in the rear of the car.
My Westfalia fitting post shows you what they look like.

Whilst you're at it, did they give you the plug in module too?
Without that, you're up the creek!
